Concert Hall Aarhus

The music hall in Aarhus was originally designed by Kjaer & Richter and was inaugurated in 1982. The newly added Symphonic Hall was built especially for symphonic music, so the hall’s internal dimensions were dictated by acoustic considerations. The hall has a Nordic color scheme, with grey acoustic panels, black seats and a light Ash Kalmar floor from Kährs. In contrast, red adorns the rear walls and when the acoustical panels are adjusted, the same red color is also used as a background.
