Kährs reflects Opulance at Yang Sing Oriental Hotel

Kährs Oak Espresso Provence has been installed throughout the luxurious Yang Sing Oriental in Manchester. Created by Gerry and Harry Yeung, owners of the award winning Yang Sing Restaurant, the new landmark 48-bedroom boutique hotel is the first Oriental hotel in the UK and is sited in a sympathetically converted Victorian Grade II listed building. All works were carried out by Hargreaves Contracting and Kährs flooring installed by Business Flooring of Salford, Greater Manchester. The hotel was officially opened on 24 July, 2008.

Formerly a cotton warehouse, and later a bank and catering equipment storage building, the Yang Sing Oriental Hotel has been given a 1930’s modern classic Oriental design by Manchester based Architectural Designer, Roberta Fulford. All 48 individually designed bedrooms and suites, including duplex suites and the 89sq m Emperor Suite, feature en-suites and lounge areas, with Kährs Oak Espresso Provence installed throughout. Kährs was also installed throughout the bar, reception and lounge areas.

Kährs Oak Espresso has a distinct dark brown matt lacquer prefinish, which complements the hotel’s opulent design, provides exceptional durability and promotes easy maintenance. The floor’s bevelled edge defines its one-strip design, whilst Kährs Woodloc® joint provides a fast, glueless installation.
