The forest we inherited

We have always had respect for what nature has given us to develop and hold in trust. Our attitude is the basis for our ecological cycle approach. It permeates everything that happens in the company, from the selection of a supplier to the delivery of a finished floor somewhere in the world. It is not just about processing the raw material, we must also recognize the wood's inherent beauty and expression. This means that every single piece of wood is appraised, and its natural form and figuring are utilised to create unique wood floors with character. Selection begins in the forest, where our supplier fells and transports the raw material to our sawmill.

We have over 3,000 suppliers in Sweden alone. (On average a forest owner fells and delivers Oak to us once every ten years.) A replanting law has existed in Sweden since 1905 for each tree felled, a new one is planted to guarantee future growth and a forest for future generations to enjoy and use.
