Kährs partners with local INSTALL program
A major wood flooring manufacturer is partnering with the local INSTALL program to ensure that wood flooring installations are done by trained professionals.

Kährs, the oldest wood flooring manufacturer in the world, will present a training session at the Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters training center this Spring for the benefit of INSTALL Local 1823 members.  Kährs will donate training experts and materials for the session.  The goal of the training is to get MRCC instructors to the point of being able to teach and then test for the Kährs installation certification.

Local 1823 is the regional affiliate of INSTALL, the International Standards and Training Alliance, which is a career-long training, marketing and certifcation program and the floor covering arm of the UBC. More thna 50 flooring industry manufacturers are partners with INSTALL, including Kährs.

New contract for Kährs Activity Floor
Kährs has signed a contract with FISAF, the Federation of International Sports Aerobics & Fitness Inc., to be the exclusive official floor supplier for the upcoming World and European Aerobics Championships through 2011. The kick-off for the cooperation agreement between Kährs and FISAF will take place on May 10, during the European Championships Sports Aerobics and Fitness Teams 2007 in Barcelona, Spain. The floor was already in use for the FISAF championships in Rotterdam 2004 and in Moscow 2005.

CE marking for all Kährs' products
Kährs will introduce CE marking on all its products from 1 March 2007. The CE mark will appear on both the package label and the installation instructions. This CE marking ensures that our products fulfil the essential safety requirements of the relevant European legislation, and is a prerequisite for the free movement of goods that is sought after in the EU.
