Opened in June 1881, the National Theatre in Prague sits proudly on the banks of the Vltava River, its golden roof gleaming on fine, sunny days. This unique venue plays host to some of Prague's finest ballet and opera performances. The building is owned by the Czech Republic's foremost cultural institutions and has a rich artistic heritage. When replacing the floor of the seating area, Jatoba Brasilia, with its rich russet tone and even grain, was the perfect choice. As well as complementing the imposing interior design, Kährs fulfilled the theatre's specific requirements for exceptional durability and longevity.
