Kährs introduces a new type of flooring for use in both residential and commercial spaces. Kährs Aware Collection is a floor with a truly authentic wood appearance, based on natural and recycled materials, and, with a durability that can be compared to that of a traditional vinyl floor.

Beautiful appearance, high quality and excellent sustainability properties - Kährs Aware Collection was developed with the modern and conscious customer in mind, who seeks comfort with no compromises on design. At the same time, the new flooring product also needed to fit into Kährs sustainability strategy to continuously reduce its environmental footprint, where innovative, new materials is one of the focus areas.

Kährs can proudly conclude that it all comes together in the company’s new flooring alternative, Aware, which is a new type of durable and high performing, bio-based floor. Designed to withstand family-life as well as wear and tear of commercial applications, yet with the style, beauty and feel of a wooden floor.

“We wanted to expand our Luxury Tiles range with a vinyl free flooring option, and it is so rewarding to see the final products, which are beyond even my expectations. Kährs Aware Collection contains a range of wood design planks in nine different vibrant colours, inspired and named by national parks around the world. The planks are made from bio-based materials such as HDF from recycled wood, natural fibers and fillers and recycled cork from wine cork production. The floor is completely free from PVC and has low emissions which promotes good indoor air quality.

Installation is made simple and clean with a click joint on both the short and long side for a two-way installation and the floors are suitable for homes as well as commercial applications as stores, hotels and restaurants, with demand for usage class 33.
